Victoria and David will be joining Unwind as a vendor so I asked Victoria, the creator of Eden Cottage Yarns to answer a few questions and share some of her crafting experiences with us...
Please introduce yourself and your business in 2-3 sentences.
We're Eden Cottage Yarns; we sell hand dyed yarn as well as commercially dyed yarn. I'm the dyer, and David helps with processing.

What treats can we look forward to seeing at your stand during Unwind?
An awful lot of yarn, original patterns, and if there's space, lots of lovely samples.

Eden Cottage Yarns began in your previous setting, a cottage tucked in rural countryside… was it as idyllic as it sounds?
Yes, absolutely, after a while. Moving into a crumbling 1720s farmhouse alone, in a new area, with no heating or anything.. it's not the easiest thing. Starting up a business alongside doing up a house alone with no income or savings is also not ideal, but there we go. I made it work!

What is your set up like now? Has it changed the way you work?
Yes it has. I have more space to work so have been able to continue to expand the company. I also now have David helping me when he's not at work, which has made a huge difference.

You also design, where does that inspiration come from?
I just like simple, timeless things really.
What are you looking forward to the most about Unwind?
I think Unwind is going to be a lot more international than any other show, and that's really exciting. I'm looking forward to seeing new things and meeting new people, it's a hell of a shopping opportunity too.
